“River which you swim in, will change its course, but you are its banks, you are the CONSTRUCTOR OF RIVERS.”
About me...
Michalina Rozalia Hermia Małgorzata Niezabitowska known as Czteroimienna (4namegirl). She intertwines poetry ballads, wandering songs and mantras about nature, travels, and consciousness.
She made her debut in Leeds at the Chemic Tavern Pub in 2017 during a meeting with sung poetry entitled "Inny Świat" organized by a group of friends whose intention was and is to spread Polish music and culture abroad. In Poland she debuted on the stage of Wesołogórska Fiesta in Wetlina (Poland) in 2019, where she started cooperation with Jarek Poniatowski (a long-time guitarist with “Aldaron”).
Two years later, she recorded her first album entitled “Constructor of rivers”, where beautiful guitar solos are played by Jarecki. The tour promoting her first album lasted 3 months, during which they played 17 concerts together, including Pub Wędrówka in Wrocław, Stacja Wolimierz and many more amazing places such as mountain hostels throughout Poland (mainly the Bieszczady, Beskidy and Karkonosze).
Inspired by the work of the great Polish artists like Stare Dobre Małżeństwo, Jacek Kleyff, Wolna Grupa Bukowina, Paweł Czekalski, Shata QS and Australian multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd, Czteroimienna take us on a journey within ourselves.
To gain a new and fresh perspective on various life situations, we should first talk with ourselves. These ballads filled with words will take us to a parallel world, a different world and yet the same one in which we live every day.
“I’m stuck in time, which is long gone. She got into the carriage in a colourful dress”.
In the fall of 2023, her second (solo) album was released. “My Pangaea” is an album recorded in Leeds, it contains 11 songs whose content in some way closes one chapter in life and opens another.
Michalina lives permanently in England (Leeds), where she meets people who were also passionate about singing and playing Polish music. This group of friends has been organizing regular and independent events for the Polish community in Leeds since 2016.
“Playing for Polish people in UK gives me a incredible joy. It’s like coming home. I realised that you don’t have to understand the words to feel the music, but nothing takes you more home like a common language.” – says Michalina, who also gave a concerts in many other places, including: Glasgow, Middlesborough, Coventry, Soul Escape Festival in Lincolnshire, events organised by Polish group of people called “Jedność w Przestrzeni” in Peak District and WOSP Finales - Wakefield 2023 and Doncaster 2024.
